If water overflows or leaks from your SmartClean system, the troubleshooting tips below may help you find a solution.
We recommend you follow the steps in the order listed below. In between steps, check to see if the issue is resolved before moving to the next.
Always rinse your Philips Shaver before placing it in the SmartClean system. After rinsing the shaver, make sure you shake off the excess water. Otherwise, the excess water can collect in the SmartClean cartridge and cause it to overflow.
It could be that the cleaning fluid inside the SmartClean cartridge has leaked into the device.
This can happen if the device is tilted while a cartridge is inside. If you need to tilt your SmartClean station, to move it or plug in its charger, make sure you take out the cartridge first.
If none of these tips help, your SmartClean system may be damaged internally. We recommend that you request a repair or exchange.
