Steam function of my Philips Avent essential baby food maker does not work (properly)

There are many reasons causing the blend function does not work properly. Find out the solutions.


  1. There is too much food in the jar. We advise that the max food volume for blending not exceed 400g.
  2. Make sure the jar is placed on the main unit correctly and the jar lid is locked onto the jar correctly.
  3. Check the ingredients and steaming time or recipe examples and choose ingredients that are appropriate for blending.
  4. You have been using the blending function continuously for more than 30 seconds. Stop blending and let the appliance cool down for a few seconds and then start blending again.
