How to clean the soleplate of my Philips Steam/Dry Iron

Find out in our article below how to easily clean the soleplate of your Philips Steam Iron or Dry Iron when it has a stain or fabric stuck to it.

Instructions to clean the soleplate of your Steam/Dry Iron:

  1. Ensure the appliance is not plugged into the socket.
  2. Ensure the appliance has cooled down.
  3. Wipe flakes and other deposits off the soleplate with a damp cloth.

Note: To keep the soleplate smooth, avoid hard contact with metal objects. Never use a scouring pad, vinegar, or other chemicals to clean the soleplate. Do not wash/clean the appliance under the tap.
