Also during the past years, Philips Pakistan has emerged as a socially responsible entity through its CSR initiatives. For us at Philips Pakistan, the definition of image under CSR goes beyond business and reflects more of our concern towards the society. Therefore, under our CSR function various activities have been taken up, recent being donation of energy savers to the Civil Hospital and Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for their pediatric wards, summer camps with FESF and SOS village, donation of library to The Garage School. One highlight of our CSR program is SimplyHealthy@Schools (a global community program by Philips to create awareness amongst kids regarding basic health and hygiene issues). Our SimplyHealthy@Schools activities in Karachi and Lahore has been amazing in terms of the involvement, interest and joy of the kids at the Government School we went with this program to, as well as the engagement of our employees. The experience has been pleasantly overwhelming and rewarding in terms of being able to give back to the society and we plan to take this forward and do more and more.
